Saturday morning, a number of disc golf lovers came together at Globe’s Ice House 9 course to take part in the Thorin Reign Memorial tournament – an event organized by Michael Gurule in memory of his late son Thorin Reign Gurule, who passed away this February. Michael Gurule said the event’s goals were to raise money for upkeep and improvement of the disc golf course and to make the course’s Thorin Reign memorial bench, which was installed in mid-July, larger - as well as to enjoy the game, the company of other players and the food (hot dogs and drinks were served at the event).
