Throughout one weekend each July, the town of Young remembers the infamous Pleasant Valley War, and celebrates local history, during Pleasant Valley Days.

This year’s event – three days of history, heritage, roping, a parade, food and drink, and more – is coming up July 14-16. The weekend also features the 19th annual Ted Meredith Memorial Roping, and there will be veterans events and Pleasant Valley Museum events around town. 12 p.m. Craft fair vendors open

4 p.m. Beer garden opens

Saturday, July 15

8 a.m. Food vendors open

9 a.m. Parade (starts at south end of town)

10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Pleasant Valley Museum open

1 p.m. Hoghland Museum Store tour

2 p.m. Speakers: History of Ranching in Pleasant Valley

Zane Grey books raffle: 65 books, bookcase included (Drawing will be held on December 2)
