The Globe Unified School District Governing Board is pleased to announce the three highly qualified finalists for the position of superintendent.

Mr. Mark Gorman is currently the principal of Wickenburg High School and Wickenburg Virtual Academy. Prior to his current position, Mr. Gorman worked as an assistant principal in Arizona districts, including Deer Valley Unified and Humboldt Unified and Colorado districts in the Colorado Springs area. He is a graduate of Miami High School in Arizona.

Dr. Joseph Farnsworth is the principal of Floresville High School, south of San Antonio, Texas. Previously, he held principal and director positions in Queen Creek Unified School District and served as the superintendent of Pima Unified School District in Arizona. He also taught and coached in Texas.

Dr. Christa Dalmolin East is the deputy superintendent and human resources manager for the Globe Unified School District. Prior to that, she worked at Freeport-McMoRan Inc. as a human resources professional. She taught agriscience at John Bowne High School in New York and at Iowa State University. She resides in Globe.

The candidates will tour the district and interview with the Governing Board on the afternoon of Monday, Jan. 29, 2024. Following the interviews, a Community Forum will be held at the Globe High School Auditorium from 5-6 p.m. The public is invited to meet the candidates and hear them speak and answer questions.
