Posted

The Gila County Provisional Community College District (GCC) was recently awarded a pair of grants to help purchase three virtual simulation manikins for the college’s nursing program. The district received $35,000 from the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation Community Investment Fund and $25,000 from Arizona Complete Health. GCC will provide $35,000 in matching funds to complete the $95,000 purchase, which will help nursing students develop their skills before attempting treatment on live patients.
