Salvadore “Dudy” Briones

Salvadore J. “Dudy” Briones, 68, of Indiantown, Fla., passed away peacefully with family by his side on Feb. 25, 2023.

Sal was born in Globe, Az. on Feb. 8, 1955 to the late Salvadore and Margaret Briones.

Sal retired from CXS Railroad and loved being an engineer. He also belonged to the American Legion in Bridgeport, N.Y.

He was preceded by death by his parents; his sisters Louise Barajas, Lois Cruz, Christian Marquez and Barbara Perez; his in-laws Norma and Tracy Bickford; and his loving cat Simba.

He was survived by his wife of 39+ years, Pamela A. Briones; son John (Joanne) Swidowski and grandson Jeffrey Swidowski; brothers Raymond (Sandy) Tellez of Pine, Az. and Anthony Briones; sisters Nancy (Joe) Leon, Beatrice (Fred) Martinez and Debra Falquez, all of Globe, Az.; in-laws Donna Johnson, Donald Johnson, Debra (George) Corkran, David (Pat) Johnson, Doug Johnson and Laurie (Scott) Field; and several nieces and nephews.

Dudy told Pam prior to his death that he wanted to tell Ceara and Morgan that he loved the fact that they considered him their favorite uncle.

There will be no viewing hours, but a celebration of life will be held in the summer. A Facebook notification will be sent with more detail on the time and place.
