Wylie Paul Wilshire passed away Aug. 19, 2024 after a short illness. He was loved by many and known in the local canine community as a weekly therapy dog at both Haven Skilled Nursing and Copper Rim Elementary, "Mr. February" on the High Desert Humane Society calendar, one of the dog park painted portrait models, and as the inspiration for our local Dogtoberfest Celebration. Half golden retriever and half cane corso, Wylie adored water in any form. He was also a gentle giant, gifted drooler, determined leaner, patient friend, and wonderful blessing. He is survived by Gidi (the boss cat who raised him), Elliott (a large dog he rescued during the pandemic), and Thea (his person).
