Mitchell Wade Willard, the only child of the late Melvin E. Willard and Jean VanWinkle, was born on Jan. 11, 1960 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life on Sept. 22, 2024 at DePaul Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. He had attained the age of sixty-four years, eight months and eleven days.
Mitchell grew up in Globe, Arizona and graduated from Globe, Arizona High School in 1978. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting and spending time with his family and friends. Mitchell had a great personality and loved a good joke. He worked for the copper mines in Arizona until his forced retirement due to illness.
In 1979 he was united in marriage to Kathleen Scrogham and to this union, three daughters were born: Jennifer Winslett (Kevin) of Parker, AZ, Amber Dean (Aaron) of Janesville, WI, and Megan Holley (Brandon) of Globe, AZ.
Survivors include his mother, Jean Willard of Eastwood, MO; his three daughters and nine grandchildren, Alyssa Winslett, Zander Winslett, Landyn Winslett, Dustin Dean, Macie Dean, Gavin Meeks, Kaydance Tober, Tessa Tober and Braxton Tober, and many relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren, Missouri. Burial will be in the Eastwood Cemetery, in Eastwood, Missouri. Online condolences: www.mcspaddenfh.com.
