Globe-Miami resident seeks help with kidney transplant

Posted

Lifelong resident of the Globe-Miami area Mike Gonzales is asking the public for help.  He is in need of a healthy kidney.  Mike has been on the transplant waiting list for nearly four years and continues an extensive dialysis protocol at home.  Mike retired from Pinto Valley, but many local residents have experienced his professional construction and carpentry skills over several decades.  We have been fortunate to benefit from his craft and his friendship.

Mike's current condition cannot improve and will deteriorate without a healthy donor kidney.  All efforts to secure a matching family member donor have been exhausted, so we are reaching out to our community to seriously consider the gift of life by becoming a kidney donor.  Mike has type O Positive blood, which requires the donor blood type to be type O (Positive or Negative) as well.

Mike has been helping family, friends, neighbors and our community in countless ways throughout the years and now he is the one who needs a helpful hand.  Our Globe-Miami community has always proven the nature of its character by reaching out to one of our own. Mike and his family are hoping for anyone willing to explore the possibility to come forward.  For more information or questions, please contact one of the following:
