PIMA - A week after facing No. 1 Morenci, the Miami football team took on No. 2 Pima on Friday evening.
The Vandals suffered a 64-6 loss, which dropped their overall record to 5-4 overall and 1-3 in the 2A Salt Region.
Abram Castaneda threw for 42 yards and rushed for 65 yards, including Miami’s only touchdown of the game. Jaime Pena ran for 32 yards, while JayKob Armenta had a 27-yard catch on offense and an interception on defense.
The No. 13 Vandals look to beat Globe for the fifth year in a row when they take on the Tigers this Friday at 7 p.m. at Harbison Field.
