San Carlos High School hosted a wrestling multi meet on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Their team consisted of two boys and two girls and as they faced their adversaries they lost points to the larger teams, but were able to get a number of good matches in.
The girls, Senior Kenya Star and sophomore Heaven Bullis were in a weight class (around 200 pounds) that ensured their opponents would be mature boys. But they know as do their male teammates at the meet, Trevan Alvarado and Jeremiah Ailak, wrestling isn’t for wimps.
Lighter girls did better as when Cowgirl Regina Vega pinned her man. Heaven Cosen is in her first year wrestling and hopes to learn a lot from Kenya Star this year.
