Robert Frank “Bob” Plew, age 77, passed peacefully on Jan. 1, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 56 years, Diana, son Monty (Shauna) Plew, daughter Melissa (Michael) Henderson, and grandchildren Stephan “Garrett” (Kristen) Henderson, Jessica Plew and Micheala Henderson. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Maxine Plew, his sister Mary Ann Plew, and a granddaughter, Pamela Plew.

Bob was a Vietnam Era veteran, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gold panning. He was a native of Globe/Miami and graduated from Globe High School in 1965. Upon returning from active service, he worked at Cities Service. He transferred to BHP Copper when Pinto Valley Mine opened and worked there until he retired.

Our family would like to thank Thema Hospice for their caring services to Bob (our husband, dad, and grandfather) in his last year and a half. They truly were an extremely special group of people. THANK YOU!!

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Globe Elks Lodge, 1910 E. Maple St., Globe, Arizona, on Jan. 27, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that you donate to your favorite veterans’ organization.
