The Globe High School Lady Tigers ended their season with a 24-9 thrashing of Gilbert Christian at home on Senior Night.
“We came out a little flat,” said Globe head coach Frank Grice. “We were up 5-0 but fell behind 6-5, but the girls dug down and played Globe Tigers’ softball.”
Globe finished the season 16-13, including a runner-up finish at the Joseph City tournament. The Lady Tigers will graduate six seniors: Khylee Tulk, Precious Bendle, Aubrey Lopez, Kaydance Tober, Jaci Jensen and Kendra Corso.
Coach Grice said that while losing the current seniors is sad, he will have nine incoming freshmen that can make an impact for the varsity team next season.
“This group of seniors, I have had the privilege of coaching three of them from little league on up, so it’s been special,” said Grice.
