The High Desert 8th grade girls basketball team was overwhelmed on the road against San Carlos Junior High last week.
After the team fell behind 6-0, K. Jackson scored on a layup with 3:28 in the opening quarter, but by the time A. Stevens nailed her free throw, the Lady Tigers trailed 10-3.
San Carlos scored six points in the second quarter while limiting the Lady Tigers to one basket. A. Navaro scored with one minute remaining in the first half.
High Desert had no luck trying to catch the Lady Braves in the second half. Stevens did score four points in the final quarter, but San Carlos rolled to a 33-11 win.
