The High Desert Middle School baseball team remained perfect after a 29-0 thrashing of the Mt. Vista Cougars.
“We played well to the point that we had to play,” said HDMS head coach Jason Ramos. “It was tough, and we pulled out all of our starters early.”
High Desert Middle School is a perfect 4-0 on the season at press time. They are the favorites to win the Central Junior High League championship with a mixture of both seventh and eighth graders on the team.
“We have a lot of seventh graders that actually stand out - Braden Wager, Drew Hernandez and Justin Juan,” said Ramos. “They have experience because they have been playing since they were nine years old.”
