Globe High School’s varsity soccer teams hosted Gilbert Christian in a section matchup last Tuesday, and the visitors came away with two shutout victories.

In the early game at Harbison Field, the visiting Lady Knights defeated the Lady Tigers 14-0; in the late game, the Tigers boys’ varsity team fell 18-0.

The loss left the Lady Tigers with a 5-2 record, and a 2-1 record in Section 3A East. Their next games were January 8 at the Crismon Rattlers and January 10 at the San Miguel Vipers, both non-section matches.

After last Tuesday’s game, the Tigers were 2-2 and 0-1 in Section 3A East. Their next game was January 4 at the Morenci Wildcats in a non-section match.
