Emmeretta Avon Sanders (Lamb), born a gift to this world in September of 1945, peacefully departed this earth on May 31, 2022 with two of her daughters, Colleen and DeAnna, by her side. Dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, auntie and best friend. She was an Arizona native and lifelong resident. Although her early years were difficult, it never broke her spirit. She persevered and continued to love with her whole heart. Lover of all living things, especially delicate, wounded and forgotten souls, she sought to save everyone, people and animals alike. Mom was always a hard worker. Even after retirement, she worked diligently on her home and garden and was a crucial part of raising her granddaughter, Delaney Sanders. Those who were fortunate enough to know her understand that we could never capture her true essence in words. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Sanders (2016). She is survived by her daughters, Diedre Lamb (Rick), Darlene Wright (Dean), Colleen Turner (Larry) and DeAnna Sanders; eight grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Faye Morrison. We will miss her every minute of every day. Fly high, Little Mama.
