As work on a pair of improvement projects commences in Globe, street closures and detours are planned for those areas in August and September.
In the first project, Meridian Construction will be completing grading and paving in the area of Hill, Carico and Broad Streets. During construction hours, access will be given only to local residential traffic. The project began August 19 and is expected to be completed on August 29.
In the second project, which also started August 19, Scholz Contracting will be completing water main improvements on 4th Street between Maple Street and US Highway 60. During construction hours, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., access will be given to local residential traffic only. The work is expected to be finished around September 30.
The City of Globe advises motorists to drive safely when in project site areas and obey all posted traffic laws. For additional information on these projects and street closures, please contact Kenny Beckett at (928) 961-2819.
