Rita Ann Shank, 83, of Hartshorne, Ok. formerly of Globe, Az. passed away Jan. 30, 2022 in Phoenix, Az.
She was born Feb. 25, 1938 in Wilburton, Ok. to George and Cecile March. She married the love of her life Charles Shank on April 19, 1958 in Oklahoma City, Ok. They moved to Globe, Az. where they raised their two daughters.
She is survived by her daughters, Debra Swindall of Phoenix, Az. and Rhonda (James) Ruegamer of Hartshorne, Ok.; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Tim) Wroe, Ryan (Emily) Windall, Erika (Austin) Maddux and Jarred (Wyannetta) Ruegamer; five great-grandchildren, Devin, Dylan, Erindy, Lacy and Liam, and one great-great- grandchild, Aspen; sister Margaret Newson of Wilburton, Or.; sister and brother-in-law Judy and John Huisey of Red Oak, Ok.; brother and sister-in-law Ray and Jonelle Shank of Globe, Az.; and many, many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Shank; her parents George and Cecile March; three brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Opal March, Bill and Clarice March, and Bob and Lottie March; two brothers-in-law, Walter Newsom and Glen Shank; sister-in-law Vera Shank; and nephew Jody Newsom.
A celebration of life will be held March 12, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the historic train depot.
