Kayona Gilbert is a senior at Globe High School. She is a shooting guard for the team and in her last regular season game for Globe, she scored 15 points, the highest for her team. Cross country is her favorite sport because she likes running with her teammates. She likes basketball because of the teamwork. She likes her neighborhood of Peridot because it is quiet. She likes Globe High School because of the people. She likes it well enough to get up at 4:30 a.m. to get ready and catch the bus. She plans to further her education after graduation.
