MIAMI - The Miami girls basketball team continued its undefeated season with three more dominant victories last week.
The Lady Vandals (4-0) started the week with home wins over Cibecue (53-27) and Florence (67-44). They then went on the road Friday to defeat Chandler Prep, 89-29.
Against Chandler Prep, Demetria Dosela poured in 23 points, while Leeyah Goss scored 18 points and Layla Thompson finished with 14 points. Dosela also led the way against Florence with 25 points. Thompson added 14 points and Savannah Pietila contributed 13 points.
Dosela scored 15 points in the win over Cibecue and Pietila added 13 points. For the season, Dosela is averaging 18.8 points per game, while Pietila is at 11.3 points per game and Thompson is averaging 10.3 points per game.
Miami hosts Santa Cruz Valley this Friday at 5:30 p.m.
