MIAMI — Miami High School Cheer Team will be competing at the state qualifier tournament on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 2:24 p.m.
Miami hasn’t competed in years, but now under the coaching of Rhiannon Oldfield, Miami is back at it. Coach Oldfield currently has 16 cheerleaders on the squad working on their routine daily. Ambria Reyes, Arianna Owens, Aubree Gardner, Audrey Ownsby, Breanna Velarde, Carina Rodriguez, Gina Moat, Jolene Saenz, Natalie Harrison, Nyvaeh Arrellin, Baillee Castaneda, Brooke Kelley, Rayonna Hernandez, Hannah Curtis, Karrie Rumsower.
The goal for this year isn’t to qualify for state, if they do that’s great, but it’s more for a learning experience for the girls who will be returning next year.
Miami is in Division III show cheer and will perform at Desert Ridge High School at 2:24 p.m.
The high school is located at 10045 E Madero Ave, Mesa, AZ 85209.
