Mary Platt Madrid went with the Lord on January 29, 2018. Mary was born to Antonio Platt and Caroline Cook Platt on December 28, 1924 in Bisbee, AZ. Mary attended schools in Miami, AZ where she met her husband of 67 years, Edmund (Mundy) Madrid.
They married on January 10, 1944 moving to Los Angeles, CA and raising their three children and running Olympic Quilting until their return to Arizona in 1991 to be near family.
Mary was a Christian lady her whole life as well as a seamstress and great cook. Mary had a love of sports throughout her life.
Mary is survived by her son Ernie, daughter Annie Madrid Diaz, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her brothers Louis and Joe Platt, sisters Annie Reynoso, and Gloria Merrick.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband Edmund Madrid and daughter Nadine Madrid Sierra. Services for Mary Madrid will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Mariposa Gardens located at 6747 E. Broadway Mesa, AZ 85206
