Martha A. Allen, 76, passed away after a short but valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. She took her first breath in Globe, Az. on Sept. 14, 1945, and her last breath in Mesa, Az. on Jan. 1, 2022.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents Catalina and Vicente Valenzuela and her husband David B. Allen. She is survived by her son Chris Magana, daughter April Belarde, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Danny (Becky) Valenzuela, Eddie (Beverly) Valenzuela and sister Irene (John) Yanez.
Martha worked in the retail industry, specifically at Dillard’s and Macy’s. She retired from Macy’s and enjoyed her retirement years. In retirement she volunteered at St. Anne Catholic Church. Martha lived a full and warm life, filled with challenges and joy. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
A rosary will be held Jan. 20, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church in Gilbert, followed by a mass at 10 a.m. Internment is at 1 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Cave Creek alongside her husband David.
