GLOBE — Globe beats Ben Franklin 76 to 73 in a close game which saw the Tigers dominate, but not by much and it was never over till it was over.
In the first quarter each team scored 20 points, in the 2nd quarter, Ben Franklin outscored Globe by one point so that the score was 37 to 36 for Ben Franklin at the half.
In the third quarter, Globe got busy scoring 21 points featuring two 3-pointers by Daniel Widner (Daniel only shot 3 pointers in this game), and five 2-pointers by Cory Chee.
Brandon Pina contributed a 3-pointer, and Jeremy Jones put a three and a two pointer in as did Aaron Smith.
The fourth quarter started with Globe enjoying an eight point lead, but the Chargers whittled that lead down to 3 points by the final buzzer.
High scorer for Globe was Cory Chee with 9 regular baskets and a 3 pointer for 21 points.
BJ Burris and Daniel Widner each contributed 12 points, and Brandon Pina scored 10 points including two 3-pointers.
Jeremy Jones got the Tigers seven points including a 3-pointer. Martine Reede made six points, Aaron Smith five, and Nathan Bendle put in two.
Altogether a thrilling game with splendid moments shared by both sides.
