Era Belknap-Makil age 85, of San Carlos, Arizona passed away on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020 at Haven of Globe Nursing Home in Globe, Ariz.
She was born in San Carlos, Ariz., on Feb. 25, 1934 the daughter of Willie Belknap and Mary Anna (Kayson) Belknap.
She attended Rice Elementary School, San Carlos Junior High, Phoenix Indian School and went on to Phoenix College. She was a licensed Medical Practioner. She attended the first Physicians Assistant class for Native Americans.
Era worked at Phoenix Indian Medical Center and for several other hospitals all around Arizona.
She enjoyed shopping and loved attending church.
Era is survived by her children; Nancy Young and her husband Keith and her son Samuel Belknap, her sister Sue Roehrich, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Belknap were held on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020.
