Edwin “Ed” Weamer died at home on July 26, 2021 in Salem, Oregon. He was 54 years old. He was born Jan. 16, 1967 in Globe, Arizona. He grew up in Globe, attended Globe High School and graduated with the class of 1985. He then attended the University of Arizona in Tucson for his undergraduate degree. He received his master’s degree in Music from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. He went on to be the Director of Jazz Studies at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. He developed his love of music at a young age and became a very accomplished musician.  He could play a variety of instruments and blessed his students, family and many others with his talent. He was also passionate about physical fitness and loved to help others achieve their goals. He was a personal trainer, an inventor and loved to cook and create in the kitchen.  

Edwin is survived by his brother John Weamer (wife, Jo), sister Michelle Battistini (husband, Massimo) and brother Garrett Weamer (wife, Kimberly). His nieces and nephews are Nathan Weamer, Chelsea Park (husband, Ben), Randal Weamer, Cameron Stinger (wife, Ashley), Maxine Weamer and Nelson Stinger. His great-nephews and nieces include Cecily, Malcolm, Jade and Calvin Park.

He is preceded in death by his father Max L. Weamer and his mother Olive Beth Weamer. 

A private graveside service was held in his memory in Globe on May 21, 2022.
