Douglas B. Shute was born to Douglas and Jacquline Shute on May 8, 1954 in Globe, Ariz. He crossed over Feb. 19, 2017.

Doug had been battling lung cancer for several months. A man of varied interests in life and in the arts, he is most remembered by his love of music and as a silver smith.

Douglas is survived by sisters, Pamela Shute of Seattle, Wash., Deborah McCollough of La View, Wash. and Nancy Wigton of Phoenix, Ariz. and nephews, Joshua Bosse of Seattle, Wash. and James Halloway of Phoenix, Ariz. Doug’s grandparents were the late Frank and Joey Shute.

Rest in peace, little brother. Keep on truckin’. A celebration of Doug’s life will be held in Phoenix in April, 2017. Date and location to be announced.
