On May 22, 2018 at 5:22 p.m. Denver Allen Woods, longtime resident of Central Heights, Arizona took his leave of this world. Believing that because of Jesus Christ the best is yet to come. A life which impacted and left an indelible impression on the lives of all those who knew and loved him. Denver will be remembered as a faithful husband, father and friend. He was greatly loved for his sense of humor his integrity and his compassion for others. One of his favorite saying was “If you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all.” He loved the great outdoors and was and X-treme sportsman before they had even invented the term, participating in boxing, stock car racing, slot car racing, motorcycle riding, boating, fishing, hunting, bowling etc. To his family he was known for his wit and humor, even in those last moments of his suffering he could find something humorous to say to make others laugh. Though he physically is no longer with us, the impression he left on our lives will be felt forever.

Denver Allen Woods is survived by his loving wife Shirley Woods. His children Eloise Lombardi, Bill (Tammy) Woods, John Ed (Susan) Woods, Dinah (Mark) Foster, Clara (Tom) Becker, Gina Murphy, Billy Sites. His brother Carl Woods and his sisters La Vada Beason, Jonnie Schammer; 56 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Preceded by his parents Leonard and Mildred Woods.

Services were held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Word of Life Assembly of God Church in Miami. Interment services at the Globe City Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers, memorials can be made in his honor at the Word of Life Assembly Of God Church in Miami.
