A local baseball team from the Globe-Miami area will be attending the 14U AAA International World Series in California, starting on June 22, 2018.
This is the second year in a row that an area baseball team has been invited to play in the World Series. This year the AZ Longshots team consists of six boys and one coach from Globe/Miami and eight boys and two coaches from the Valley area.
The local boys are Drake Dalmolin, Curtis Shriner, Tyree Koyayesva, Gabe Escobedo, Matt Riddle and Angel Perkins. The Coach is Elton Dalmolin. The team would like to thank the local businesses that have donated and assisted with their fundraisers to help get them there: 3D Survey, 5D Mining and Construction, Dalmolin Excavating, Ajax, Airco Electric, Metro Land, Native Environmental, Sturgeon Electric, Hualapai Tripal Forestry, New Water Livestock, Edible Arrangements, Cami State Farm, Cheryl S. Wilson, Jerry Aplin, Guayo’s on the Trail, Guayo’s El Rey, 60 Motors, A&A cooling and Rodriguez Construction.
