Alfredo Denogean, 89

Alfredo V. Denogean, went home to our Lord and Savior on Nov. 5, 1929.

Alfredo was born on Nov. 10, 1929 in Superior, Ariz. to loving parents Alfredo and Rosa (Valencia) Denogean. He began his career in the mining industry at a very young age working at the Magma Mine in Superior. He went on to work at various underground mines including the Ray Underground Mine, Anaconda Mine in Butte, Montana, Christmas Mine, Christmas, Ariz., PD Underground, Bisbee, Ariz. He retired from ICCCO. After retirement he spent part of his time importing and selling leather goods, blankets and jewelry. He made his home in Aravaipa.

Alfredo is preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Lydia Romo Denogean, daughter Norma Mileswki, grandson John Ruelas and brothers Cesar and Arturo. He will also be reuniting with nephews Gilbert Denogean and Frankie Herrera.

Alfredo is survived by his daughters Oceria, Deborah (Dennis), Rose Irene, sons Alfred Jr. (Nancy), Hector A. (Kimberly), and Raymond (Teresa), siblings Gilbert, Mary, Hector, Octavio, Concepcion, and Violeta. He also leaves behind 24 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Alfredo will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16,,2019 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Superior, Ariz. Services will begin with a visitation at 9 a.m., followed by rosary at 9:30 a.m., and continued with Mass at 10 a.m. Alfredo will then be laid to rest at Superior Fairview Cemetery. There will also be a luncheon hosted at the Magma Club following services.

The family was assisted with exceptional service by Griffith Mortuary in Kearny, Ariz.
