GLOBE — The results are in and the winners have been announced for the 2017 Copper County Quilters “Pieces of Friendship” Quilt Show presently being displayed at the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts.
Kay Ratcliff won the Arizona Hall of Fame Award for her Jack and Jill quilt and the Chamber of Commerce Sponsor Award for her Concentric Circles entry. Jan Pederson won a ribbon of merit for piecing for her The First 25 entry and the Best of Show for her En Provence quilt. Maria Melendez won a ribbon of merit for long arm machine quilting on her I Shall entry. Sherry Beydler’s Friendship quilt earned a ribbon of merit for domestic machine quilting. Darlene Martin’s Bordered Diamonds was awarded the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts sponsor award and a ribbon of merit for color. Marge Imperatrice won an award of merit for hand quilting.
