Gila County — In an effort to provide local training in the area of Building Construction Trades, the Gila County Construction Skills Committee has been formed. Organizations included are Gila Community College, Gila County, Arizona Department of Transportation, and Arizona@Work.
These organizations have partnered to provide training to individuals for successful entry into the construction trades workforce.
Training will include proficiencies in power tool safety, construction math, framing, flooring, stairways, and roofing. Participants who take classes through Gila Community College could be provided a paid opportunity through Arizona@Work or volunteer to work with local contractors to gain valuable on-the-job training.
