A short-lived fire on a hill in Claypool on Wednesday, May 9 sent up a plume of smoke, but was quickly extinguished by neighbors and Tri-City Fire District. Tri-City was first on the scene, followed by the Globe Fire Department, Gila County Sheriff’s Department and the Miami Police. No one was injured in the blaze.
