EDITOR: On Friday, April 5, I met an angel of the highway.
I was towing a utility trailer form Globe to Pima. About 15 miles east of San Carlos, one of the wheels came off my trailer and rolled across the highway.
Ed “Pancho” Bradley was behind me and he started flashing his lights to get me to stop.
I found a place to turn off and stopped.
Mr. Bradley then stayed with me while I tried to contact someone to get a tow.
Phone service is spotty in Gila County, so it took a while and Ed stayed with me until he was sure I had help coming.
He then contacted my granddaughter in Pima to let her know I was alright but the trailer wouldn’t be coming.
So, a big “thank you” to Pancho Bradley for being my angel when I needed one,
Mary Ann Uhl
