A two-car crash last Tuesday, just before 12:30 p.m., temporarily closed US Highway 60 between Globe and Miami in both directions. The accident took place in front of the Subway restaurant when a driver leaving Subway collided with a second, westbound vehicle traveling in the left lane. According to a preliminary report from the Globe Police Department, at least one person was taken to Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center; no further information was immediately available. The driver leaving Subway was cited for failure to yield from a private drive.
