Tri-City Fire District will be conducting a new Reserve Academy beginning Feb. 24. Training days will be Wednesdays, 1600-2100, and Saturdays 0800-2100, until April 10. The application period for Academy Recruit is open until Feb. 10.
No compensation is offered during recruit training.
Upon succesful completion of the academy, recruits may be offered a position as a reserve firefighter with Tri-City fire district. Tri-City Fire District conducts its full-time hiring from within its reserve pool. The minimum requirements are: 18 years of age; high school diploma or GED; valid Az driver’s license; certified Arizona firefighter II; Hazmat first responder (24hrs); minimum Az EMCT or Paramedic; valid CPR card; I-100, L-180, S-130, and S-190 (Basic Wildland FF); IS-100.b, IS-200.b, IS-700.a, & IS-800.b (NIMS compliant).
Applications are available on the TCFD web site at www.tricityfiredistrict.com and are to be mailed to Tri-City Fire District Attn: Captain Frank Zupancic P.O. Box 83 Claypool, Az 85532.
Completed applications must be postmarked by 1700 hours on Feb. 10.
Applicants must submit copies of the following: completed application, five year motor vehicle record, copy of all certifications, resume, copy of Az driver’s license, fit for duty physical from your primary care physician, proof of CPAT completion within one year prior, or completion of CPAT prior to academy end.
