Ochoa thanks community members

Dear Editor,

I would like to thank every member of the Globe-Miami community for your kindness, patience, and extending your hands in help for all my brothers and sisters through the many years while our mother worked three jobs to support a family of 10 through the 60-70 and early ‘80s. Your instruction in coaching all of us through the years and handing down personal knowledge and wisdom only prepared us to be better parents in the future. As for me I became the first to go to college and become EMT certified by the age 21 and see two of my nephews graduate from ASU. Even my own son became a doctor out of University of Texas A & M Medical School in 2017. I am and have been forever so grateful for every minute spent under all your wings, receiving firsthand knowledge on life itself. When I look back and see all those heroes who were Gila County judges, lawyers, prosecutors, fire chiefs, copper miners, town mayors, legislators, house representatives, medical doctors, city employees, bankers, postal workers, Knights of Columbus, lions club, united steel workers, etc.…and just about every mom and pop in our small community of Globe-Miami.

I did manage to identify most of you on Sundays while I assisted upon the altar during mass at Holy Angels Catholic Church. As an altar boy, seeing your faces gave me such a positive and deep unity as my extended family. I speak for all my siblings without any complaints for all those years of sacrificing your time and resources for just my large family alone. I always felt loved and respected from every one of you! You fed us when we were hungry and took us out of town for road events and delivered us home safely. You treated my siblings like your very own, to all of us that was priceless. I have never forgotten all the good I have witnessed from all of you. I firmly believe it all being on every Sunday as we answered the dinner bell for the holy sacrifice of the mass. We all partook as one family united under God, which transcends beyond the mass in time and space to bond our community. I was never alone growing up in our community, I had extended parents at every corner keeping a sharp eye out for my brothers and sisters and I. Your time and effort truly helped mold souls for the future by paying it forward. I have never felt alone under all your instructions; your time and effort has truly molded me into who I am today. I have never changed, I have made my fair share of mistakes in life. I except my cross and my sufferings because I am from Globe-Miami Arizona a place where hard workers are forged through honest hard work and are fierce competitors in every spot. I am so fortunate to have been given these tools to hand them to the next generation for good use. I joyfully have given back to my community and I know full well my son has this ingredient down and will pay it forward into his community. I want all of you to know I have never forgotten all you and that I do love all of you so much. I am so earnest in mentioning all your names in prayer every single day. Thank you for being there for us in the good and evil times. Thank you, Jesus, for sending us your saints in time for instruction. I must say serving my community as a handyman has brought great joy into my heart. I am so thankful for all the work I could perform in any or with in all your presents. I want to thank all of you who helped in raising up all my brothers and sisters through the many years. We are forever so grateful to all members of your community for our education, sports, disciplinary actions, jobs, and religious instructions. Without your kindness and encouragement throughout our youth we wouldn’t be who we are today. I do thank God every day for each one of you in prayer, that is the very best I could do for you and for those who have passed on. I am so sorry for any pain or sorrow I have caused all of you for letting you down through my actions. I believe I have been punished and have repented for my sins, all that I request from all of you is to please remember me after you have received Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament at the holy sacrifice of the mass. I pray I left behind me someone who will serve the community with much greater love than I.

May God Bless all of you forever.

Sincerely,

Arthur Antonio Ochoa
