Interactive Children's Museum comes to Globe

Posted

Globe-Miami — The Cobre Valley Center for the Arts in Globe is very excited to present “Shape, Color & Movement: An Interactive Children’s Museum,” running now through May 31.

The museum is great for children ages 3 to 9. Admission is free, however, small donations are appreciated to help us provide more chances to use the arts to educate and enrich the lives of area children.

Children learn through interactivity, and that’s why "Shape, Color & Movement" features exhibits like a spinning chalk cylinder that allows children to draw in chalk on a three-dimensional, moving shape, making it fun to draw circles, spirals and wave lines.

There will be giant dry-erase activities, large magnetic shapes, a light up sand box and many more types of hands-on exhibits which will explore art concepts such as shape, color and movement, while allowing kids to draw and experiment in new ways.

This exhibit had been made possible with the generous support of the United Fund of Globe-Miami, Randy and May Sullivan, 5D Mining & Construction Inc., Robert and Diana Tunis, Matlock Gas, Simply Sarah, and the Summer Youth Musical Theatre Program.

The Cobre Valley Center for the Arts is located at 101 N. Broad St. in Globe. Call 928-425-0884 or email info@globearts.org for more information.
