Tempe — Globe High School’s BJ Burries has been nominated for an AZ Central sports award. The sophomore basketball phenom has already been named Player of the Year for Division III.
The azcentral.com Sports Awards honor the most elite athletes in Arizona high school sports. This event is hosted by azcentral.com and will take place April 30 at ASU Gammage in Tempe. The Arizona Cardinals’ Larry Fitzgerald will be a celebrity guest at the event.
The theater will open at 7 p.m. and the awards show begins promptly at 8 p.m. Organizers ask that attendees take their seats by 7:45 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased online at sportsawards.azcentral.com for $20 each.
