Globe Fire recognizes Bracamonte and K-9 Evo for assisting FBI

Posted

The Globe Fire Department recognized K-9 Evo and her handler, Cpt. Joe Bracamonte during the Globe City Council’s May 14 regular meeting.

On April 24, the U.S. Department of Justice had recognized K-9 Evo and Bracamonte for assisting the Federal Bureau of Investigations and other law enforcement in dismantling a violent criminal organization on the Navajo Reservation, said Globe Fire Chief Gary Robinson.

K-9 Evo was able to assist in locating two homicide victims whose remains were burned and buried in a remote location 14 months prior.

During the May 14 council meeting, Bracamonte asked all members of the Globe Police and Fire present to stand with him and be recognized for their service, as well.

Bracamonte also thanked both past and present Globe council members for their support of the K-9 program.
