EDITOR: The Copper Basin Coalition will be partnering with the Globe and Miami High School Anti-Tobacco Squads in collecting donations for their community service project. Together, last year, we delivered over 500 gifts to Haven of Globe and Heritage Health Care Center during “Santas for Seniors.”

This year, we have decided to host two drives for the holiday season. “Santas for Seniors” will continue for its second year and “Operation Santa Paws” will be a community drive for our Gila County Animal Care and Control. Members will like to collect items to create adoption bags call fur-ever bags to be given with each successful adoption.

This holiday season we invite you to give back to our community by donating an item(s) from the attached flyers, such as lap blankets, non-skid slippers, bagged dog/cat food, or animal toys. We are also collecting cash donations that are tax deductible. Cash donations can be dropped at the Gila County Health Department. All other donations can be dropped off at the following locations: Globe Active Adult Center, Miami Senior Center, State Farm Cami Lucero, Chamber of Commerce, Gila County Health Department, Globe High School (front lobby), Miami High School (front office).

Thank you in advance for your continued support to help make our community a happier place during the holidays.
