Dear Editor:

Sgt. Ray Hernandez, Sgt. AJ Castaneda and retired officer Ray Tarango: These three men are the reason that the City of Globe has a Police Department. I commend all three men, as should the Community of Globe, for their outstanding and above and beyond dedication, their overachieving efforts, and their commitment to the development of the Globe Police Department. You do not have to like them, for if they were after friends, they wouldn’t have been as committed as they were and are.

When credit is due, then it’s time for this community to step up and recognize these three men for the amount of blood, sweat, and tears they put forth for the development of this once great department. I say this as Mr. Tarango has retired, Mr. Hernandez has moved on to the County Attorney and Mr. Castaneda finds ways to develop a second wind for the future of the department.

I thank God for creating these three men with a keen insight to never give up. Look at the archives and you’ll see these men involved in every part of the safety of not only our community, but also our children. I am proud to be a citizen of Globe, because I was able to witness the aggressive and determined characters of these men. Thank you Ray, AJ, and Ray for living your roles for the safety of our fine community.
