GLOBE — There are those people who have been instrumental in the programs and the growth of the community overall and the Citizen of the Year award recognizes such a person. Likewise, there are those who have worked tireless to promote the arts and/or historic preservation in Globe-Miami. For those people, we have the Kip Culver Memorial Award.

The award winners will be announced at the Jan. 19 dinner at the Dream Manor Inn. This event is in partnership with the Pinal Mountain Foundation for Higher Education which has its annual benefit art auction after the dinner.

Tickets are $35 a person and reservations may be made at the chamber of commerce, 425-4495. There will be a no-host social beginning at 5 with dinner at 6 pm.

After the awards dinner, the Pinal Foundationfor Higher Education will have its annual art auction, an important fundraiser for their scholarship program.

For more information or tickets, contact the chamber at 425-4495.
