MIAMI — The Miami Senior Center at 506 W. Live Oak St. offers lunch Monday through Friday. Call 928-473-4190.
The suggested donation is $2 for ages 60 and up. People under 60 can also enjoy lunches for $4 and are welcome any time.
Thursday, Sept. 12 —Bingo 10:30 a.m.
Menu: Beef stroganoff, mixed vegetables, wheat roll, mixed tropical fruit
Friday, Sept. 13 — Coffee Club 8-10 a.m., Karaoke 10:30 a.m.
Menu: Fish, cowboy beans, corn, rice pilaf, wheat bread, grapes
Monday, Sept. 16 — Coffee Club 8-10 a.m.
Menu: Grilled pork chops, roasted potatoes, carrots, wheat roll, applesauce
Tuesday, Sept. 17 —Loteria 10:30 a.m.
Menu: BBQ beef brisket on a bun, baked beans, coleslaw, pineapple
Wednesday, Sept. 18 — Coffee club 8-10 a.m., Karaoke 10:30 a.m.
Menu: Chicken, broccoli, ranch beans, wheat bread, vanilla wafers, peaches
All meals are served with 1 percent milk.
Miami Senior Center cannot deliver homebound meals without authorization from a case manager. Many people believe that they just have to call the center to receive a meal, but they must be referred through Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens. Call 1-800-293-9393.
