The Arizona State Department of Transportation Board of Directors has rejected all four bids submitted for building a new Pinto Creek Bridge, west of Miami on U.S. 60. The action was taken at the Friday meeting of the board in Florence, Ariz. The lowest bid submitted was 25 percent over ADOT’s estimated cost for the project.
ADOT staff will spend several months redesigning the bridge work and it will be included in a package of two other bridge projects seeking federal grant monies
The rejected bids were:
$24,292,949 from Ames Construction, of Scottsdale;
25,475,000 from Fisher Sand and Gravel, of Tempe;
$26,196,851 from Sundt Construction of Tempe; and,
$28,056,961 from F and F, Inc., of Tempe.
