On Sept. 6 around 2 p.m., Globe Police and Tri City Fire Departments responded to the area of Broad and Ash streets in reference to a single vehicle collision. When officers arrived on scene they found a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado had crashed into a light pole next to McSpadden Ford.
As medical and law enforcement checked on the occupants of the vehicle, it was discovered there were two occupants in the vehicle.
The passenger was pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver was in/out of consciousness and was unable to relay information regarding how the collision occurred. The driver was air-lifted to a valley hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the vehicle was Tony Anthony Daley, 74, of Bylas, Ariz., who died after being airlifted to a Valley hospital. His wife, 81-year-old Gloria Daley, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The families of the victims have been contacted and the Globe Police Department continues its investigation.
The GPD and Tri City Fire Department responded to the accident.
