Voter registration deadline Oct. 7

Posted

Gila County Recorder Sadie Bingham and her staff are processing voter registrations, and here’s a reminder that if you’re not registered to vote, you still have one week. Monday, Oct. 7 is the deadline; you can register in person at the Gila County Recorder’s Office in the east wing of the County Courthouse in Globe during weekday business hours, or online any time of the day or night at servicearizona.org or my.arizona.vote.
Who may register to vote? You are eligible to register to vote if you have lived within Gila County for at least 29 days prior to the General Election, are a United States citizen, at least 18 years old – or will turn 18 by Nov. 5 – and have not been convicted of a felony or treason. All registered voters may cast a ballot in the General Election,  whether you vote early during October or in person on Election Day Tuesday, Nov. 5. Early voting begins one week from Wednesday, Oct. 9. That’s also the day early ballots will be mailed.
