Dani Vargas, an eighth grader at Miami Junior High School and a member of the local Relentless Wrestling Club, recently took first place in the 14-U weight class at the Arizona state tournament. Vargas qualified for the national tournament, which will be held in June in Tulsa, Okla. Vargas is the only girl to ever qualify for Nationals out of the Globe/Miami/San Carlos area. Please keep an eye out for local fundraisers that will help Vargas make her way to Nationals and represent not only this area but Arizona as well.
