The High Desert Middle School Tigers football team won their second consecutive Central Junior High League championship Tuesday night at Harbison Field with a 46-0 victory against the Miami Jr. High Vandals.
The Tigers, coached by Don Muniz, were a perfect 6-0 going into the championship game and have now enjoyed two straight 7-0 seasons. The Vandals had an impressive season themselves, entering the game with a 5-1 record.
Tigers players who excelled this year include Kachedon Cormack, Devron De La Torre, Matthew Hollis and Bryson Lymon on offense, and Alan Angeles, Kaden Muniz, Nate Sinteral and Aydin Tober on defense.
