The Globe Tigers varsity football team notched their second straight overwhelming win Friday night, defeating the ALA-Anthem South Titans 47-12 in a section game in Florence.
This followed the Tigers’ 54-8 victory over the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions at Harbison Field the week before.
Globe led 40-12 at halftime and recorded the only score of the second half, a 32-yard punt return for a touchdown by Braden Wager.
Tigers quarterback Jaeger Franco threw a pair of touchdown passes, to Jeremiah Foster and Alex Holmes, and ran for another two touchdowns. Foster also had a rushing touchdown, as did Aiden Bejarano.
The Tigers are now 3-5 overall and 1-3 in Section 2A Black, where they occupy sixth place.
Their next game will be a section matchup at Harbison Field October 24, when they host the third-place Alchesay Falcons (5-2, 2-1).
